Build and Design

Smarton have opted for more subtle look this time with The device sports a curve edged metal frame and a removable plastic back panel which does not make it fee premium; however, it does feel great in hand with the right amount of heft it has.
While it’s back panel is removable, the 3,000 mAh battery is non-removable. This move will definitely give the users to try out fancy back panels. Right in the box we found couple of extra back panels with Sachin’s graphics and signature.
The sim slots are hiding below the back panel. At the bottom you will find a USB Type-C charging slot with speakers on it’s both sides. The phone lacks in led notification which some users might not like. The phone is missing expandable memory slot but 64 GB if built-in space (on the 13,999 version) sounds decent enough.
The volume button is on the right edge while power button is on top. This creates and awkward situation as to power off the device, you will have to stretch your index finger or thumb and while doing so, you might end up pressing the volume key at the same time.

UI and Display

The Smarton comes with 5.5 inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels. The display is bright with good sunlight visibility. Touch response on its corning gorilla glass 3 is decent.
The Smarton get’s soul of Android Nougat 7.1.1 right out-of-the -box. It also includes company’s tronx launcher with new icons and services like tcloud, tstore, tcare and forum. The tstore have products an accessories while tcare helps you in contacting customer care. The tcloud is company’s cloud service with unlimited space.
Microsoft apps including Word and Excel are pre-installed.

The get’s power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. The performance is almost lag free and playing games like Asphalt 8 and Injustice: Gods Among Us was quite enjoyable. It does support 4G VoLTE as well, so you can use Reliance Jio sims with it. Here are the few bench-marking reports of

Although the device is powerful, it have a bit of heating issue. Within half an hour of heavy gaming in AC room, the phone upto 42 degrees. This is a big concern as the heating issue can affect the life of phone.

This smartphone features a regular 13MP camera on the back with f/2.0 aperture lens and led of course while the front camera have a 5MP sensor. The camera quality is not that great as we found the images were not sharp and detailed.

Our Final Verdict

The new from Smartron comes with a great display, impressive performance and decent build quality. Along with the build in storage, you will get unlimited cloud storage which is a big plus point.
However, the camera quality, battery life and heating issue might put it behind the current mid-range smart phone kings like Redmi Note 4, and Moto G5+. The phone seems to be in the right direction by Smarton; however, they still need to learn the art of making a perfect Smartphone.
