Samsung’s new flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are out with amazing new features. Samsung’s latest smartphones are way ahead from it’s competitors when it’s comes to possibilities with next generation of smartphones. Loaded with smart features, both model includes features like Iris Scanner, Bixby Voice AI assistant, and a lot more. Let’s have a look at Samsung Galaxy S8 vs S8 Plus -Expert Review,Full Specification.

Amazingly Designed

As soon as you unpack the box, the beautiful S8 and S8 Plus phones will make you amazed with its beautiful design. It carries the wow factor and are really cool to hold in hands.

A curvy bezel less, Infinity display of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus utilizes the bended glass top at the best. With the top and base just including what is required for things like the front camera and iris scanner, Samsung’s deserves 5 stars for designing Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus beautifully.

Smartly designed both smartphones has an amazingly high screen to body ratio of 84%.

Being one of the tallest smartphone Samsung have ever products, the Galaxy S8+ measures an astounding 6.2-inches, while the S8 has slightly smaller 5.8-inch sized screen. Both smart phones are still bigger than the market trend of 5.5 inch screens.

Even though Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus have a huge display, it’s only 73.4mm wide which makes it smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus and it can be easily used with one hand.
While you still have to stretch your fingers a bit on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, you can more easily enjoy the one hand usage with the smaller sibling Samsung Galaxy S8 smart phone.
To make the display bezel-less, Samsung have given virtual buttons instead of traditional physical home button and the Samsung branding is also moved to back of the smartphone.
Finger print scanner is sitting on left of the rear camera and it comes with USB C charging and also the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

Great Camera

A good news for selfie-lovers, the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are equipped with smart auto focusing 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Its enhanced multi-frame image processor gives you crisp selfie pictures each time.

However, the 12 MP rear camera continue to have the same features from its predecessor Galaxy S7. This looks like an odd decision when smartphones like Sony XZ premium are coming with highly improved 19MP Motion Eye Camera.

Benefiting with f/1.7 aperture, dual-pixel phase-detect autofocus and optical image stabilisation and the camera is able to deliver great pictures. The camera gets benefits of new chip as well as it helps to process multi-shot images briskly. The camera snaps 3 images and then combines them into one most detailed image. Surprisingly Samsung have not opted for dual lens camera like seen on iPhone 7 and Huawei Mate 9.

Very Important Factor – Battery

After getting a bad reputation from exploding Galaxy Note 7, Samsung must have taken special steps that the same thing does not happen with the new Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus batteries.

Galaxy S8 comes with 3000mAh battery while S8 Plus gets power from its huge 3,500mAh battery. Both also have option to run at WQHD+ (2960 x 1440), FHD+ (2220 x 1080) or HD+ (1480 x 730) resolution which can help you saving the battery life when you run on lower tiers. Battery includes wireless charging feature and can give you 50% of juice in just 30 minutes of charging. A fully charged battery of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus can last for a day with WQHD+ (2960 x 1440) resolution.

Everything Else

Let’s have a good start for this topic. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus features IP-68 rated water and dust resistance and they can survive up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.
Both devices from Samsung have 4GB of RAM, 64 GB ROM, Snapdragon 835 chipset for US market and the Samsung-made Exynos 8895 chipset for all other countries. Both phones have dual sim features with hybrid memory card slot.

Samsung have also hurried in adding its own person assistant Bixby which still seems to be half baked. Having tough competition from Siri and Google assistant, Bixby can still not recognize many words in different accents. They seem to be still working on it and hopefully will be providing an update in near future.
Having a special button for itself, we hope Bixby will work amazingly in future.
Right now, Bixby can be used to control home automation and reminders. Coolest feature of Bixby is to scan a product and find its information like from where to purchase it and other details.

Both smart phones comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Samsung’s nice and clean customization which makes it easy to use.

Are Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus worth buying?

The new Samsung S8 series is definitely ahead in features and looks when compared to LG G6, Huawei P10 Plus and Mate 9. However, it depends on your requirement and your budget that whether you should go for a Samsung Galaxy S8 series phone or not.
The best reason to go for Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus smart phone is its beautiful bezel less display. The Galaxy S8 is prices at $750 and S8 Plus is priced at $850 and these both smart phones goes on sale in US on April 28th, 2017 while India release is scheduled on 2nd May, 2017.
